Computer
facilities
All
departments of the institute are
provided with PC's. All
these computers are going to be
hooked on to the campus network.
Most of the office work is automated
with a view to improve efficency
and reduce the use of papers.
Internet and e-mail facility are
provided through VSAT connection.
All these facilities are provided
to the faculty members, officers
and students.
These
facilities are organized into
different computing environments
such as DOS,UNIX,WINDOWS NT.
Boarding
facilities
Most
of the students of the Institute
have been lodged in hostels in
the campus. These hostels
are equipped with modern amenities
and facilities for sports and
recreation such as TV, indoor
games and a gymnasium. Facilities
for outdoor games like volleyball,cricket
and football are available.Soon
the boarders are going to avail
internet connection in the hostel.
Separate accommodation is provided
to the girl students. A round-the-clock
canteen is in operation to cater
to the needs of the students.
Both
vegetarian and non-vegetarian
food are available in the hostels.
Each hostel has a Warden to look
after the welfare of the students.
The overall administration of
the hostels is looked after by
the Hostel Management Committee.
The
GHITM Guest House provides accommodation
to Institute guests, visiting
faculty and guardians of students.
Sports
& Recreation
The
Institute organizes different
sports activities every year .Indoor
sports facilities are available
in the hostels. Out door games
are also arranged .Our students
also has a good record in inter
college cricket & volley matches.
The
institute arranges cultural
activities for the benefit of
the students. A cultural festival
called “Elixir” is organized every
year. The students also organize
Welcome & Farewell parties
every year.
Health
Care
Medical
facilities are provided to the
staff and students of the Institute
through the HEALTH CLINIC inside
the campus. The Institute currently
has one medical officer who visits
twice a week, who is a good specialist.
Two pharmacists are there to provide
medical care round the clock .
Patients requiring indoor treatment
are referred to the Puri Hospital
where modern facilities for treatment
are available.
Training
& Placement
The
Placement Cell was established
in order to assist the students
of the Institute in getting suitable
employment. The placement activities
were initiated in the middle of
1998 with a view to helping our
students obtain gainful employment.
A large number of companies/ organizations
from private sector including
IT multinational firms, conducted
campus interviews. The placement
percentage of the Institute is
increasing year by year. Many
of our past students being placed
in reputed national and multi-national
